Designed a gamified Telegram Mini App for MTS that rewarded users with real cashback and bonuses redeemable in the MTS Money ecosystem. The project aimed to increase engagement, strengthen user retention, and drive repeat interaction with MTS financial services through a balanced progression system and meaningful rewards.

Owned the product design process end-to-end, from concept creation and game economy design to UX architecture, wireframes, interaction design, high-fidelity UI, prototyping, 3D assets, and promotional materials. Defined progression mechanics, reward distribution, booster balancing, and user flows in close collaboration with the MTS product team.


Research

Researched gamification patterns across fintech and mobile games, analyzed user motivation loops, and explored progression systems to identify mechanics that maximize long-term engagement. Iteratively balanced rewards, boosters, and progression speed through multiple design iterations to create a satisfying experience while supporting business objectives.

Challenge

Rather than designing a game, I designed a behavioral system that aligned user motivation with business objectives, transforming engagement into long-term product value.

Create a gamified experience that motivates users to return consistently while naturally introducing them to the MTS Money ecosystem. The progression system needed to feel rewarding without allowing users to complete the experience too quickly or lose motivation due to excessive difficulty.

Product Impact

Designed a behavioral engagement system centered around progression, rewards, and replayability instead of simple tapping mechanics. Carefully balanced the in-game economy, reward pacing, and progression curve to sustain long-term motivation while encouraging users to repeatedly interact with the product.

The experience was designed to positively influence core product metrics, including DAU/MAU, retention, session frequency, engagement rate, conversion to the MTS Money section, ARPU, LTV, CSAT, and NPS by strengthening user habits and increasing perceived value through tangible financial rewards. The structured progression model also created additional opportunities for future live events, seasonal campaigns, and monetization initiatives.
